Screenplay: When All That Is Left Is You

After being evicted from her apartment in San Francisco, Victoria is thrilled with a random request from her 95 year old Great, Great Aunt Leona to come visit her in Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to Aunt Leona, homeless Victoria plans to move in until she figures out her life. Upon arrival, Victoria finds her Aunt depressed and deteriorating in health with secrets she’s not yet ready to share. In an effort to help her, Victoria teaches her Aunt how to smoke weed. Revitalized, Victoria and Leona have weed-filled adventures until the state of Leona’s health becomes reality. Peppered throughout with Leona’s jokes and culminating with Victoria’s brief love affair on a yacht, the story is told in the style of Juno and Garden State. When All That Is Left Is You explores the unique relationship between a woman trying to get started in life and another trying to face the end.

Novel: And I Feel Fine

Previously undetected, an asteroid that cannot be destroyed or deflected will cause the total and utter destruction of Earth in just 78 days. Told in a contemporary manner, And I Feel Fine is a collection of 78 short stories from the vantage point of a vast array of characters on each day of the final count down to the end. The stories weave together in small, surprising ways, and as the countdown continues, the reader understands more and more of the changing, crumbling world. Playing with the traditional narrative and focus, the stories explore minor moments just as much as the larger, typical apocalyptic themes. With just 78 days left, what and/or who would you abandon, love, save?
